2021C Release Notes

Hello ProAxion Users!

We’re constantly working on improvements and new features for our User Interface.  Thank you for your feedback and input.  Here’s a quick list of improvements we made in our 2021B release:

Machine Health Notifications

  • Machine health notifications are triggered differently. Previously, a notification was sent anytime a Warning or Alarm condition was triggered AND a daily reminder was sent for all Alarms, and weekly reminders were sent for all Warnings. This led to LOTS of notifications

  • To improve the situation we’ve eliminated reminder notifications and instead will send a weekly summary report per plant site showing all Alarm, Warning and Communications issues. This should drastically reduce the number of notifications sent out and hopefully make the system more effective.

  • Alert logic has changed so that a new notification will be sent if any sensor on the machine enters a worsening condition. For example, if a Fan has 3 sensors installed and one of the sensors enters a Warning condition due to elevated vibration, a single notification will be sent. If the next day a different sensor on the machine enters a Warning condition due to elevated temperature, a separate single notification will be sent to notify of the worsening condition.

Communication Issues Notifications

  • Notifications about sensors losing communications with the ProAxion system has changed. Previously a single notification was sent on a per-sensor basis anytime a sensor was offline for more than 24 hours AND the notification repeated each day until the situation was resolved, again leading to TOO MANY notifications

  • The new way will limit sensor communications issues to one per plant per day AND there will no longer be reminder notifications, but rather status will be shown on the new weekly summary report.

  • Notifications will continue to be sent if a gateway stops communicating with the ProAxion system for more than 24 hours. This is on a per-Gateway basis, so if multiple gateways go offline on the same day, multiple notifications will still be sent. However, like sensor communications and machine health issues, reminder notifications will no longer be sent and gateway communication status will be on the weekly summary report.

Dashboard Improvements

  • You’ll notice a new landing page when you log in. This was done to improve load times and give users the ability to bypass the dashboard and enter the preferences tab.

  • New columns have been added to the dashboard to show change in vibration and temperature over a period of time (default is over past 30 days), and a column showing status of automated alerts for each machine. These columns, in addition to specific plants can be hidden from the dashboard view in the preferences tab.

Timeline Flags

  • We’ve added new categories for timeline flags: General Notes, PM’s/Corrective Actions/Repairs and Wins. These are now represented by different color and shapes on the timeline. Also, if you didn’t catch it from our previous release, you can also add attachments and URLs for any timeline flag. This is handy for uploading photos of a repair, or an independent diagnostic report, for instance.
